We are all used to seeing our favourite sports stars recite those perfectly rehearsed one-liners. I wanted this interview to be the opposite of that - raw, organic, awkward, fun and very unpredictable.
I produced The Inaugural Captains Quiz for the AFL and McDonalds. For this project I was the writer, director, host, props maker, producer and post-producer. The show sat across AFL digital platforms including Facebook, YouTube, Instagram and the AFL website

CLIENTS SAY
This was such a fun project to work on! The AFL had access to all of the footy captains for a media shoot and they were wanting to try and shoot something fun with the extra time that they had with them - cue the first ever CAPTAINS TRIVIA!
I was given free creative reign on this project, and so naturally I decided to use this power very responsibly... by finding ways to mess with the players. I really wanted to catch the players off guard and create something super different to anything else that was out there.
We are all used to seeing our favourite sports stars recite those perfectly rehearsed one-liners in press conferences, but I wanted this interview to be the opposite of that - I wanted raw, organic, awkward, funny, loud and very unpredictable.
To do this I set up an interview environment that was quite different to what the players were used to - cue the frilly pink table cloth, handmade trophy, random questions, musical instruments and a very unpredictable and slightly unprofessional host.
I think the end result was pretty special! The shoot was genuinely so much fun to be a part of and I think this really shined through on the footage in the end product!
